Yoga haven Birmingham is our second yoga centre in the UK. After five successful years in Brighton Allie Hill, internationally recognised yoga teacher and founder of Yoga haven returned to her roots in Birmingham to open the second branch.

The first of its kind in City centre, we are pleased to bring you a dedicated yoga facility in Birmingham. Our approach to Yoga is non-dogmatic, eclectic and open to all.
Offering a unique style called Hot yoga as well as traditional Astanga Yoga and a fully equipped Pilates studio, our mission is to compassionately guide students toward enhanced well being

At our Birmingham yoga studio we have an introductory offer £10 for 10 days, come every day for those first ten days and see how this incredible yoga can change your health and happiness!

Teaching Yoga Course, Teach Yoga, Yoga Teacher Training, Instructor Courses

It doesn’t matter where you live; we have produced a course that is accessible for you and essential for your teaching yoga course. The course is 23 days, spread over 10 months. Structured as Two, separate full time, week long intensive courses and four weekend modules at Yoga Haven in Brighton.

You will be required to have on-going self practice, plus assignments and different projects to complete in between our meetings. You will need to be dedicated but you will also have enough time to discover and learn what it means to teach yoga and gain the necessary skills and confidence to accomplish yoga teaching from your heart.

On successful completion of the Teaching Yoga Course you will be internationally certified through Yoga Alliance and qualified to Teach Yoga.

In the UK you will be a Graduate of our Yoga Teaching School which is on the Yoga Register and you will be entitled to use the letters YRT which stands for Yoga Register Teacher, it is then that you will start to benefit from Yoga Teaching.

Modules covered on the Yogahaven Teaching Yoga course are as follows:

Asanas - Yoga Poses, how to do modifications, postural alignment and preventing yoga injuries.
Yoga teaching practice. The ethics for yoga teachers. Sensitivity of adjusting. Using the voice. Learning to teach from the heart.
Teach Yoga skills - Recognising common postural problems/body types. Sequencing, adapting to the students in the class.
Adapting the length of class : 60 mins / 75 mins / 90 mins.
Pranayama: Teaching and practise of breathing techniques and their benefits.
Anatomy and Physiology.
Subtle Energy systems: Chakras, Koshas, Nadis, Bandas and Mudras.
Kriyas: Cleansing Practices.
History of yoga.
Yoga Philosophy: Studying various well know texts such as Yoga Sutra, Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Bhagavad Gita.
Meditation.
Mantra, sound vibration and an evening of Kirtan.
Introduction of teaching vulnerable adults - mental health care and recovery from substance abuse.
Introduction for other avenues of showing you how to teach yoga to Children, Older generations, Pregnancy yoga and yoga therapy.

The business of yoga - Setting up classes or a yoga studio of your own.
